| Notes for Mary (Spouse 1) |
The following information is not confirmed with certification, but the earliest data starts with William Richardson who married Mary Erskine (reported living in 1665). Mary's father was Archibald Erskine whose family line goes back 12 generations to Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland.7
Robert the Bruce was born at Turnberry Castle on the Firth of Clyde on 11 July 1274. He was the eldest son of Robert Bruce, 6th Lord of Annandale, and Marjorie, Countess of Carrick. Robert died on 7 June1329. He reclaimed Scotland's independence at Bannockburn in 1314 after the Invasion of the English under King Edward the 1st.7
There are records of William and Mary living in Scotland in the 1600s.7
