DIED
On Tuesday, the 2nd inst., at Kingstown, aged 100, Henry RICHARDSON, Esq., the oldest solicitor on record. He was also a notary public proctor and stockbroker, and retained he faculties to the last, having visited his office within five days of his death.

The following is from Rachael Richardson, May 2005, <racheal_richardson2@hotmail.com>:
Henry Richardson (c.1758- 1855) entered Trinity College, Dublin University on 9 January 1774. He was a founding member of the Irish Admiralty and County Proctor of the Irish Admiralty. He lived at 3 Erne Street upper Dublin and his office was at 8 Cope St, Dublin. His business partner was John McLoughlin. There was a William Richardson working as a solicitor (also as proctor) at the same time also for the Admiralty. So I assume William was his father or brother.

I have a photo of a portrait (I think was taken in Ireland) The inscription below it reads:
Henry Richardson died at 9am in his cottage in Kingston, County Dublin on Tuesday 2nd October 1855. Henry Richardson esquire aged upwards of 100 years was the oldest solicitor on record and was a notary Public Proctor of the Irish Admiralty and stock broker, being one of the original committee. He was in his office on Thursday last and retained his faculties to the moment of his death.

I also found an extract from an old Galway newspaper which will be found at the link below. It gives a better understanding of what he did for a living!
