Bomford Moorina, 27th November 1909 Tasmania My dear Nephew, Re the prefix of De to our name, it was Dr Kenworthy who took your father to England in the fifties that told him and your uncle Isaac that De Bomford is the proper name. Your father and I never adopted it but your uncle Isaac did, it is therefore much a matter of fancy. When Govenor Gormanston was here he told me that he knew some of our people in Ireland; one branch in West-Meath that owned a property called "Ferrans", who kept race horses & hunters? &, consequently, were poor, but the relatives who lived in Meath owned a fine place name "Oaklands" and were very wealthy; he said Oaklands adjoined his own place, & that he knew them well. I hope you are all getting along well & with kind regards from your Aunt and myself. I remain your affect Uncle F. E.
