| Notes for John (Spouse 1) |
Anthony Fletcher, from Brisbane is a source. A.Fletcher@uq.edu.au (email September 2004): The family Bible of Thomas Symmons was handed down through his first daughter Elizabeth. A descendent of Elizabeth, Leonie Stitz sent Paul and Maureen Smith 'a copy' [some of the writing was difficult to understand, according to Leonie, and some inaccuracies may exist in her "translation"]. According to the family Bible notes, Thomas was married in Devonshire, UK on 16 June 1829, and his first son, John, was born 9 March 1830 on the boat "Nancy" on the voyage out to Tasmania. |
