The WWII Memorial - Four of my ancestors served in World War II. My great-uncle Howard Samuel Jacob was killed in action and was awarded both the Purple Heart and the Silver Star for his bravery and heroic acts. My mother's step-father, John William Hone, was also awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he received in Germany during the war. My great-uncle Harry Walter Jacob served in the Navy and my great-aunt Clara Jacob served in the Army Corp of Nurses.
