William Nelson Pangburn {1808 -1858} and his brother Sgt Walter W. Pangburn {1812 - ?)were sons of William Nelson {1775 -1853} and Elizabeth Applegate Pangburn {1786 -1865}. [William Nelson was the son of William {1740 - 1815} and Hannah Fitz Randolph Pangburn {1745/46 - 1835}]

Addie (Pangburn) {1887 - 1966} and her husband Ellis Jacob Pickrell {1882 -1967}. Addie was the 7th child, 3rd daughter of John Samuel {1852 -1925} & Sarah Elizabeth (Leeper) {1854 -1949}Pangburn. Addie & Ellis had 12 children.

Jesse Franklin Pangburn { 1894 -1956} & 2nd wife Opal Grace (Felton) {1907 -1976} Pangburn. Jesse went by the name Frank, was the 10th child & 7th son of John Samuel {1852 -1925} & Sarah Elizabeth (Leeper) Pangburn. Jesse and Opal had no children. Jesse's first wife was Thelma, maiden name unknown.

Virgil Leo Pangburn: he was born in 1907 and died in Wichita, Kansas on January 13, 1991 and is buried in Lyons, Kansas. Here is his obituary: Donated by , Frank Cullison .(Frank does not state the paper or exact date this ran , )
"Virgil Leo Pangburn of Wichita, former resident of Lyons, died Sunday at the age of 83. The retired oil field supply salesman for Mountain Iron and Supply was known as Wichita State University's "senior citizen student", having taken classes for 12 years, auditing more than 700 hours. His wife, Vera Misner Pangburn, preceded him in death in 1978. Survivors are a daughter, Virginia Bayer of Ellinwood; two sons, Donald of Wichita and Gerould of Stanton, Va.; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at University Methodist Church in Wichita. Graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. in the Lyons Municipal Cemetery. A memorial fund has been started for the Wichita State University anthropology department. Downing and Lahey Mortuary of Wichita is in charge of arrangements."
