In memory of the
Late Donn E. Wagner

In the early 1980's, Donn E. Wagner created the PANGBURN LETTER as a result of his two loves: Family and Genealogy. He delighted in meeting a New Cousin or in helping someone new to genealogy become aware of his or her rich family history. It was Donn's wish, and that of his wife, Willamae, that the Pangburn Letter continue in the spirit of which it began: "To distribute information to others interested in the Pangburn lines, and to create an atmosphere of sharing for the purpose of assembling the Pangburn Story."
The following insights are excerpted from a letter written by Willamae C. Wagner:
.... author of the Pangburn Letter, Donn E. Wagner. He passed away on November 5, 1999, after no period of illness.
Even though he had 'retired' from the actual writing of the Pangburn Letter, he still tried to keep in touch with his family, the Pangburns, and with those who delighted in his tireless efforts of research. I take great pride in bringing his profound efforts to a semi-close by providing you with this information.
Donn, as you know, loved genealogy with all his heart; and, as his wife, I too, took an interest in the research. Many hours we spent together assembling the Letter, searching for correct addresses, and making trips to the post office to see that the postman did 'his duty.'"
Long Beach, California, December 11, 1999
Those of us working on this project today are proud to carry on Donn's legacy. Therefore, this electronic version of the Pangburn Letter is dedicated with our deepest respect for his spirit of giving, and dedicated with our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for his contributions to our family genealogy.
