Thomas Walker and his wife Mary Hargreaves arrived in Australia in about 1852 with at least three of their children, Edwin, Emma and Young.

They resided in Heathcote, Victoria from about 1860 and opened a butcher's shop. Both sons continued with the trade with Edwin remaining in Heathcote and Young moving to nearby Nagambie.

No record has been found of Thomas's death although we know Mary lived till 80 years of age and was buried in the Nagambie Cemetery. 

Young and Emma are also buried at Nagambie while Edwin is buried at Heathcote.
