Rickenbach Family Tree

Here you can explore to explore where your favorite character from the James Rickenbach memoir fits in the grand scheme of things. You can also find out if and how YOU fit in.

There are two ways to explore this tree. First, you can start with the most distant Rickenbach ancestor that I know of, who lived in Zeglingen, Switzlerland around the end of the 16th century. This is the way to go if you want to examine parallel Rickenbach branches. Watch out - unless you know your way through the various branches, it will be hard for you to find yourself on the tree (it's actually a good way to learn the various lines):

**Start me in the 16th century and go forward in time**

Or, you can start with my grandfather, Howard F. Rickenbach Sr. (1906-1961), and trace any or all branches of his genealogy. With this option, you can go directly back into the past along a single Rickenbach line. This is the easiest way to find out for example how Howard is related to James Rickenbach. Also, you can explore all the maternal links of Howard's direct ancestors.

**Start me in 1906 and go back in time**

Have fun, and please let me know if you find yourself, find anything wrong, or want to add something new.
