He was married to Selona (Celona) Jones on 17 Dec 1818 in Jefferson County, Indiana. Selona (Celona) Jones was born on 12 Feb 1804 in North Carolina. She died on 3 Sep 1878 in Jefferson County, Indiana. Moses McCoy and Selona (Celona) Jones had the following children:

18 iii. William M McCoy was born on 28 Oct 1827 in Canaan, Jefferson County, Indiana. He died on 19 Jul 1880 in Switzerland County, Indiana.
19 iv. David J McCoy was born on 26 Apr 1829 in Jefferson County, Indiana. He died on 18 Apr 1898 in Russell, Lucas County, Iowa.
20 v. James H McCoy was born on 5 Feb 1833 in Jefferson County, Indiana. He died on 14 Jul 1888 in Jefferson County, Indiana. He was buried after 14 Jul 1888 in Methodist Cemetery Canaan, Shelby Towship, Jefferson Indiana.
