Malinda probably came west to Arkansas with the rest of the Estes clan in 1849 as the 1850 census shows a son James born in Tennessee in 1847 and David born in Arkansas in 1850.  She was living with one of her nephews James in 1893 at the time she was 85 years old.  She was in her mid 90 when she died.
