m. Mary (Madison?)  It is believed that Bird Thomas went to Georgia
with his brother Lemuel as White's history mentioned a Bird Lanier as
being among the 18 Original Settlers of Georgia.

    m. Frances Ann Newton g. granddaughter of Benjamin Lanier.
3. Hardy Lanier b. June 16, 1817  m. Mary Ann Gay b. May 2, `1834
    He  was a Justice in Bulloch County for many years
 4. Celete Ann Lanier, b. 1819
5. Susan Lanier b. 1821 m. Robert Gay
6. Caroline Lanier b. 1824 m. 1848 Dr. Eward W. Lane
     They lived Emanuel County., Ga.
7.Benjamin F. Lanier b. Sept. 6, 1826 (School  Census)
   m. Ann Elizabeth ? b. Ga.
8. Matthew Lanier  b. July 4, 1829 (School census) d. 1857 buried
on his father's Old Homestead with parents -East of Portal ,Ga.
9. Christopher Lanier b. Aug. 6, 1834 (Ga School Census) d. 1859
bu. on his father's land, also.
10. Saphronia Lanier b. Mar. 16, 1836(School Census) m.
      Henry Beecham.  Saphronia and Henry lived on a cared for the
      place and lived and died on the old Lanier Homestead  , later called
      "the Old Beecham Place."  Her mother and father and two brothers
      grave were cared for as long as she lived.
I have not found children for Saphronia and Henry.
