We know that we all started somewhere in Scotland with Jon de PURVAIANCE and then migrated to America but have lost the connection there. My Great-grandfather's name was Ralph PURVIANCE, he was married to Arletta Priscot (sp?) and I was told his father's name was also Ralph. My Grandfather (Clarice) also had at least 2 brothers, Cortes and Preston. Cortes was married to Ethel and they lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma (as did other members of the family). There may have been another brother called Ronnie.

A second purpose of this site is to follow the ancestors of the other half of our family - ROACH. We have gathered information going back to Stephen (1769) but not any further. We were lucky in this line because of the work that has already been done by others.
