BIOGRAPHY: Sears b. Stony Creek (DR) 22 Feb. 1834. Sears Harris, son of Sears, was b. Stony Creek 22 Feb. 1834 and d. suddenly upon being taken ill at the residence of M. V. B. Coon, Stony Creek, 15 (obit, cem.) or 17 (VR) Sept. 1904, ae. 70-6-23, bur. Harris Cem. He m. Sarah J. Corlew; she d. Fort Ann ca. 1841 to Ransel and Cyntha (----) Corlew; she d. Stony Creek 11 Jan 1899, ae. 58 y 20 m, bur. with him. She had res. Stony Creek 40 yrs. at her death, He was at Stony Creek in 1870 (a farmer, listed two from his father), 1875, 1880, 1884 and 1892 (farmer). He was called "an old resident" of Stony Creek in his obituary. Funeral services were at the Medhodist Church, Creek Center.
BIOGRAPHY: Sears Harris Jr. (Sears, Charles, Seers, Peter, Ebenezer, Thomas, Thomas) was born Feb. 23, 1834 (calc.) died Sept. 15, 1904 ae. 70-6-23. He was often called "Little Sears". He married Sarah Jane Corlew born in Fort Ann, Wash Co. ca. 1841, died in Stony Creek Jan. 11, 1899. Sarah Jane was the daughter of Roswell and Cyntha Corlew. Roswell is listed as a head of family in Fort Ann in 1840. In 1850 Roswell and Cyntha and children including Jan, ae. 10 appear in the Fort Ann census with the surname Clure. In 1860 Roswell and Cyntha Corlew and their younger children wre in Edinburg, Sar. Co. After Sarah Jane's death Sears, in 1900, was living alone in Stony Creek. Both are buried in the Harris Cemetery.
