Obit J. B. Oakey

J. B. Oakey, 76, of 3133 Willow Rd. NW, died Tuesday in a Roanoke hospital. He was a retired Norfolk and Western Railway Co general foreman.

He was a member of the Southwest Building and Loan Co. board of directors and the N & W Veterans Assn.

Surviving are two sons Jack L and William J. Oakey, both of Roanoke, two daughters, Mrs. R. Q. Hite of Roanoke and Mrs. Laura E. Page of Jacksonville, Fla., a brother J. Kenneth Oakey of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters Mrs. Olivia Ullman of Winchester and Mrs. Rosebud Noell of Pittsburg, PA, six grandchildren and two great-grand-children.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakey’s conducted by Rev. James K. Cobb and the Rev. T. J. Shumate. Burial will be in Fairview.
