County Line Primitive Baptist Church
was organized in 1869. Services are held every 3rd Sunday. I visited the cemetery on 23 Jul 2006 and took pictures of some of the markers in the cemetery in back of the church. The grounds are well kept and the cemetery is fenced and in good condition. My great great grandfathers brother is interred in this cemetery. His name is Elkanah Hatcher. Although he does not have a CSA marker he fought in the civil war, as did his brothers Tazwell and Eden. Elkanah married Judith Short who is interred here as well.

Directions to the Church and Cemetery

From Roanoke going south on 221, take River Ridge Road to the Parkway; between M.P. 156-157, get on Thomas Farm Road - go to Runnett Bag Rd which you will turn onto, and there is County Line Church.

OR still going south on 221 on toward Floyd and just past Great Oaks Club entrance, turn left onto Shooting Creek Road (860); cross the Parkway and County Line Church Road will be shortly on your left; follow it to the church.
