     Ann Bond, was probably included as a white female, age ten to fourteen years old, in John Bond's household on the 1840 Census enumerated in Van Buren County, Iowa.3

     On 2 April 1841, Ann Bond married James John Tong.1,4
     Ann Bond died on 10 October 1884 in Clackamas County, Oregon, at the age of 59.1

     George Washington Bond was born on 30 January 1818 Henry County, Kentucky.1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 He was the son of John Bond and Sarah Chastain.
     On 1 March 1838, George Washington Bond married Elizabeth Stilwell, daughter of William Stilwell and Martha Ellan Hays. George and Elizabeth were Cousins based on the U. S. Special Census for Deaf Family Marriages (dated 8 May 1890) statement made by Sarah A. Bond, their daughter.9,10,5
     George Washington Bond was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 U.S. Federal Census enumerated in Jefferson County County, Iowa. Based on ages, it is possible the following were also living in the household, Elizabeth Bond, a white female, age fifteen to nineteen years old, also enumerated in the household is an unknown 20 to 29 year old male.11
     George Washington Bond and Elizabeth Bond appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Marion County, Iowa, enumerated 16 September 1850, reporting George as a Missionary Baptist Preacher. Their children Sarah A., Willliam Harrison, Benjamin Franklin, Amanda J. and James Madison were listed as living with them.12 On 16 October 1853, George Washington Bond received a Donated Land Claim (DLC) on 16 October 1853 Lane County, Oregon. Listed as the affiant was Nelson Davis The DLC shows the following information: Bond, George W., Lane Co; b 1818, Henry Co, KY; Arrived Oregon 21 Sept 1853; Settled on Claim 16 Oct 1853; m Elizabeth Stilwell 01 March 1838, Edger Co., Illinois.13
     George Washington Bond and Elizabeth Bond appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Spencer Precinct, Lane, Oregon, enumerated 6 July 1860, reporting George as a Preacher of a Christian Church owning real estate with a value of $3,000 and personal property worth $400. Their children Sarah A., Willliam Harrison, Benjamin Franklin, Amanda J., James Madison, John D, Joseph A and George Washington were listed as living with them.14
     George Washington Bond and Elizabeth Bond appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Springfield, Lane, Oregon, enumerated 30 June 1870, reporting George as a Preacher owning personal property valued at $425 and real estate valued at $4,000. Their children Sarah A., Amanda J., James Madison, John D, Joseph A, George Washington, Mary E and Charles L. were listed as living with them.15
     George Washington Bond officiated at the wedding of Preston Holcombe Murphy and Sarah A. Bond, his daughter, on 21 June 1874 in Springfield, Lane, Oregon. The ceremony was performed at George's home. James Madison Bond witnessed the ceremony.16,17,18,19,20
     George Washington Bond died on 9 January 1880 in Springfield, Lane, Oregon, at the age of 61. Died of Heart Disease.21,3,22
