     Jesse Whitelock was born on 18 May 1812 in Ithaca, Tompkins, New York. Uzetta and Jesse were twins.1,2,3 He was the son of John Whitlock and Mary Morris.1
     Jesse Whitlock, was probably included as a white male, age fifteen to nineteen years old, in John Whitlock's household on the 1830 Census enumerated in Ithaca, Tompkins, New York; also listed in John's household is an unknown female between the age 10 and 14 years.4 On 7 January 1831, Jesse was dismissed from the First Presbyterian Church in Ithaca, Tompkins, New York, and eventually became either Methodist of Baptist.5
     Circa 1833, Jesse Whitlock married Mary M. Pew.3 On the census of 1840 in Ithaca, Tompkins, New York,, Jesse were living near John Whitlock.6
     Jesse Whitlock, 28 years old, was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 U.S. Federal Census enumerated in Ithaca, Tompkins, New York. Based on ages, it is possible the following were also living in the household, George M. Whitlock, a white male, age five to nine years old, Mary M. Whitlock, a white female, age twenty to twenty-nine years old.7
     Jesse Whitlock and Mary M. Whitlock appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Genoa, Cayuga, New York, enumerated 12 September 1850, reporting his occupation as a shoemaker. Their children George M., Alonzo, Harriet, Hiriam M. and Darius C. were listed as living with them.8

     Jesse Whitlock and Mary M. Whitlock appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Ithaca, Tompkins, New York, enumerated 2 August 1870. Their children Hiriam M., Susan and Hannah Julia were listed as living with them.10 Jesse was listed as the daughter of an unknown person on the 1880 Census in Ithaca, Tompkins, New York.11
     Jesse Whitlock appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Ithaca, Tompkins, New York, in the household of Alonzo Whitlock and Clarinda J. Whitlock, his son and daughter-in-law.12
     Jesse Whitlock died on 6 January 1901 in Ithaca, Tompkins, New York, at the age of 88.2
     Jesse was buried in June 1901 in the East Lawn Cemetery, located in Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York .2,13
