6 June 2007- Marriage date and place is based on the birth of their son, Eli.

     On 15 June 1834, Hazzard purchased property described as: 80 acres of the W½ SW ¼ of Section 13 Township 3 South Range 3E, situated in Sharon, Washtenaw County, Michigan Territory. The land transaction specifies that Hazard is from Ontario County, New York.5
     On 31 December 1835, Hazzard purchased property described as: 80 acres of E½ NW ¼ Section 35 Township 3 S Range 3E, situated in Freedom, Washtenaw County, Michigan Territory. The land transaction specifies that Hazard is living in Freedom.6
     Hazzard Morey was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 U.S. Federal Census enumerated in Washtenaw County, Michigan. Based on ages, it is possible the following were also living in the household, Eli B. Morey, a white male, age newborn to 4 years old, Adeline L. Morey, a white female, age newborn to 4 years old, Clarissa Morey, a white female, age thirty to thirty-nine years old, also living in the household is unknown male age 15 - 20.7
