The ear mark was described as a crop off the left ear and a hole in the right ear.9 During the Revolution Tripp was confined for attending a Quaker meeting in Flushing New York.6 Tripp Mosher appeared on the census of 1790 in Washington, Dutchess, New York, living next door to his brother Samuel Mosher and John Allen III.10,6 Tripp was Superintendent of Nine Partners Boarding School in September 1796 in Nine Partners Precinct, Dutchess, New York.11,6

     On 22 August 1816, Tripp Mosher married Mary Wing, daughter of Benjamin Davis and Lydia Nichols, in Dover, Dutchess, New York.8,6
