A Memorial of Articles of intermarriage bearing date the eighteenth of September One thousand eight hundred and nine and made between Alexander Irwin of Muckelty, in the County of Sligo, Gent. and Napper Irwin, his son of the one part, and Richard Irwin of Kilmore in the said County, Gent. and Honora Irwin, his daughter of the second part and Jones Irwin Major in the Sligo Militia and Rich’d Irwin of Cottage in the said County of Sligo, Esq. in the third part. Reciting that the said Alexander Irwin in consideration of the sum of six hundred pounds, the marriage portion of said Honora, and in order to make a provision for his son and the issue of said marriage in and for consideration of the sum of ten shillings paid by the said Jones and Rich’rd Irwin to him the said Alexander Irwin did Grant, Assign, Release and Confirm unto the said Jones Irwin and Rich’rd Irwin in their actual possession this being for one whole year by Indenture bearing date the day next before the day of the date of said Indenture nowin Recited and by force of the Statute for transferring uses into possession and to their lives All that and those the one third and said part of the land of Muckelty situated in the Barony of Leyney and County of Sligo, which he holds under lease from Henry Irwin of Woodville, Esq. but subject to one third part of the head rent payable thereon. To hold one third part of said lands unto the said Jones Irwin and Rich’rd Irwin and their heirs for the term granted thereof unto the said Alexr. Irwin upon trust to permit and suffer the said Alexr. Irwin and his assigns to take and receive the rents issues and profits thereof for and during his life and from and after his decease to permit and suffer the said Napper Irwin, and his assigns to take and receive the issues and profits of said one third part of said lands together with the Interest of said Six hundred pounds for and during his life and from and after his decease then to permit the said Honora Irwin to take and receive the said issues and profits of said one third part of said Lands together with the interest of said six hundred pounds and in case there should be issue of said marriage at the decease of said Napper Irwin the rents aforesaid and profits of said lands to go among them together with the said sum of six hundred pounds after the decease of said Hanora in such shared portions as the said Napper Irwin or said Honora Irwin or the Survivor of them shall by Will or Deed appoint and that in Case the said Honora should outlive her said Husband leaving no issue of said marriage said lands to revert and go back to the heirs of said Napper and the said Honora to take and receive the said sum of six hundred pounds to her own use forever and that said sum when called in by said Jones Irwin and Rich’rd Irwin the Trustees of said Napper and Honora the same to be laid out on mortgage or some good Security which said Trustees and this Memorial are witnessed by Rich’d Ireland of Strandhill in the County of Mayo, Esq. and James Irwin of the City of Dublin, Gent.

The above named James Irwin maketh oath and saith he saw the Deed of which the above is a Memorial duly Signed, Sealed and delivered by the executing parties thereof and that he also saw the above named Alexr. Irwin and Napper Irwin Sign, Seal and execute the above Memorial and saith that the name James Irwin subscribed as a Witness to the said Deed and Memorial is the deponents own proper name and handwriting which Deed and Memorial this deponent delivered to John Griffiths, Esq. Deputy Register the thirtyeth day of October One thousand eight hundred and nine at or near half past three of the Clock in the noon of said day. Sworn before me this 30th day of Oct. 1809.
