To the Register appointed for Registering Deeds and so forth.
A Memorial of Deeds of Lease and Release dated respectively the Eighteenth and Nineteen Days of March One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty-two the Lease made between Henry Irwin of Spring Garden in the County of Sligo Gent. of the one part and Thomas Jones of Ardnaglas in the said County Esq. and Edward Glass of Clonowen in the County of Roscommon Esq. of the other part and the release made between the said Henry Irwin of the first part and Susanna Thewles of Athone in the County of Roscommon spinster of the second part. The said Thomas Jones and Edward Glass of the third part. Reciting that a Marriage was then intended to be had between the said Henry Irwin and the said Susanna Thewles. By which said Release the said Henry Irwin in consideration of the said intended Marriage and for other Considerations therein mentioned Did Grant Release and Confirm unto the said Thomas Jones and Edward Glass and to their Heirs all that and those the Towns and Lands of Ballonaghan otherwise Harristown containing Five Quarters that is to say Knockacullen Doghclunagh Knockcrower Ardeorrane Knockalas and One Hundred and Twenty Acres of Mountain called Liskea in the Parish of Killashalvy Barony of Corran and County of Sligo with the appurtances. To hold to the said Thomas Jones and Edward Glass their Heirs and assigns forever. To the Uses Intended and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Henry Irwin did thereby Covenant with the said Thomas Jones and Edward Glass the survivor of them his Exec. Admins. And assigns that he the said Henry Irwin shall by Deed or Will appoint and limit Lands of sufficient Value or a sufficient Fund in Money out of the Interest of which the said Susanna Thewles shall have and be paid the Sum of Twenty Pounds ster. A year if she survives her said intended Husband the Sum of Forty Pounds a year therein before mentioned to be Limited to the said Susanna and the said Twenty pounds a year making in the whole sixty pounds a year to be to her as a Joynture in Lieu and full Satisfaction of all Dower or Thirds. Which said Deeds of Lease and Release Witnessed by Henry Cope Esq. Wentworth Thewles and Patrick Donnelly Gentlemen all of the City of Dublin and this Memorial is witnessed by the said Wentworth Thewles and Edw. Thewles of Newport in the County of Mayo Gents.

The above named Wentworth Thewles maketh oath that he saw the Deed of Lease and Release whereof the above is a Memorial Executed as follows the Lease by the above named Henry Irwin and the Release by him and the above named Susanna Thewles and Thomas Jones and also saw the said Henry Irwin Sign and Seal the said Memorial and Dept. Delivered the same to Me Barth. Delandre Dept. Reg. the 28th day of November 1743 at or near Five o’clock in the afternoon. Sworn this 28th day of Nov. 1743 before Barth. Delandre Dep. Reg.
