To the Register appointed by Act of Parliament for Registering Memorials of al deeds and wills
A Memorial of deed of lease and release bearing date respectively the Second and third days of February One thousand seven hundred and thirty-six made or mentioned to be made Between William Knox of the City of Dublin Gent. of the one part and Jones Irwin of Harrystown in the County of Sligo Gent. of the other part. The Release reciting that Darcy Griffith late of Southwick in the County of Surrey Esq. by deed of lease and Release bearing date the fifteenth and sixteenth days of April one thousand seven hundred and twenty-eight did for and in consideration of the sum of two Hundred and forty-five pounds six shillings sterling grant and release unto the said Wm. Knox all that those the Towns and Lands of Knockmuckelta alias Muckelta being four quarters of Land being three quarters of Gortaslin viz. Gortaslin Carran and Clonaduffin and the half quarter of Land of Cashelgarran all such at lying and being in the Baronys of Leiney and Carbury and County of Sligo. To have and to hold the said Lands and premises with the appurtances unto the said Wm. Knox his heirs and assigns forever subject to a proviso or Cond. of Redemption by which said Deed the said Wm. Knox for the Consid. of three Hundred pounds ster. In the release mentioned did grant release and confirm unto the said Jones Irwin all that and those the said Town and Lands of Knockmukelta als. Muckilta being four quarters of Land the three quarters of Land of Gortaslin viz. Gortaslin Carran and Clonduffin and the half quart. of Cashelgarran Scituate in the Barony of Leiney and Carbury County Sligo. To have and to hold the said Lands and premises the appurtances unto the said Jones Irwin his heirs and assigns forever subject to the proviso or Condn. of Redemption in the said Deed of Release from the said Darcy Griffith mentioned and confirmed with the several other Covn.. and Clauses in such Deeds usual and witnessed by Henry Irwin of Harrystown in the County of Sligo Esq. and Thom. Walpole of the City of Dublin Gent and this Memorial is witnessed by the Tho. Walpole and Nigel Rogers of the said City of Dublin.

The above named Thomas Walpole came this day before me and made oath that he is a witness to the Execution of the Deed of Lease and Release of which the above writing is a Memorial and also to the Memorial and saw the said Wm. Knox duly Sign Seal Deliver the said Deed of Lease the said Wm. Knox and Jones Irwin duly sign seal and deliver the said Deed of Release and saw the above named Wm. Knox duly execute the above Memorial and the said named Thos. Walpole signed as witness to the Execution of the said Deed and Memorial in his own proper handwriting and Delivered the Memorial to Wm. Parry on the 8th day of February 1736 at or near ten o’clock in the forenoon. Signed: Thomas Walpole
