Know ye that by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant number Twenty one thousand Nine hundred and forty, issued the twenty fourth day of December one thousand seven hundred and eighty three lying and being in the county of Montgomery on the North side of the South fork of Roan Oak and is bounded as followeth: to Wit, Beginning at a large black oak corner to his own land, and runneth South three degrees Easttwenty two poles to a white and black oaks corner of Jacob Smiths survey South sixty five degrees West one hundred and sixty poles crossing to small branches to two black oaks and two locust saplins North eighteen degrees West forty poles to two white oak saplings corner to his land thence North seventy seven degrees East one hundred and sixty six poles to the beginning with its appurtenances. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said WILLIAM STAPLETON and his heirs forever.
