MRS. BERNICE STAPLETON

Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Stapleton,82,of
Rte. 1 Waverly, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the
Hammerstein-Purdy Funeral Home, with Rev. Glenn
Burzenski officiating. Burial followed in the Beaver
Cemetery. Friends called at the funeral home after 5
p.m. Saturday.

Mrs. Stapleton died Friday, May 23(1975), in the Holzer
Medical Center in Gallipolis, after being in failing health
recently.

She was a former telephone operator at Glade,Ohio.

Born on April 4, 1913, she was the daughter of Dave and
Ella Holly.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband
Mason Stapleton, who died in 1966.

Surviving are one step-daughter, Margaret Stapleton of Rte
2, Beaver: six step-sons, Robert Stapleton, also of Rte 2,
Beaver, Charles Stapleton of Springboro, John Stapleton of
Hamilton,Donald Stapleton of Yellow Springs,O.,Leonard
Stapleton of West Union and Cecil Stapleton of Memphis,
Tenn; 10 step-grandchildren and one brother, Earl Holly
Ripley,W. Va.
