Dortha Daniel

1913–2002

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 27,
11 a.m. at Preston Funeral Chapel for Dortha Daniel,
89, who passed away Thursday, October 24 at her residence.

Mrs. Daniel was born April 27, 1913 in Johnson County,
daughter of the late William and Gypsie Murray Wallen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wade “Bus”
Daniel.

Surviving are two sons, Henry and Gary Daniel, both of River,
Ky.; two daughters, Octavia Daniel of Raceland, Ky. and Venice
Chandler of Tutor Key; one brother, Ballard Wallen of Cannonsburg,
Ky.; four sisters, Edith VanHoose of Wilmington, Oh., Faye Craft
of Portsmouth, Oh., Mae Price of Offutt, and Betty Stapleton of
River; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

The service was officiated by William Charles VanHoose,
with burial following in Daniel Cemetery, River.
