Edna Myrtle Rust Caudle Jones

Edna Myrtle Rust Caudle Jones was born near
Wellston, Oklahoma on March 29, 1914. She was a
daughter of Charles Henry and LuVerna West Rust.

On October 31, 1931, she married Herbert Caudle at Pawnee, Oklahoma. Herb departed this life on January 15, 1974. On March 4, 1975, Myrtle married Eul O'Dell Jones who has been a very loving and caring husband, dad, grandpa, and all the other terms of endearment ever since. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents Henry
and Luverna Rust; her husband Herbert Caudle; two
brothers, Aaron and Charles Rust; three sisters,
Marie Buntin, Annie Whitten, and Augusta Belle Day;
one granddaughter Teresa Ree, and one great grandaughter
Lennissa Daniels.

She is survived by her loving husband O'Dell;four sons,
Frank wife Cleo Caudle of Sulphur, Bud and wife Liz
Caudle of Guthrie, Harold and wife Ann Caudle of Ardmore,
and Herman and wife Diane Caudle of Ardmore, one daughter
Beverley and husband Jerry Foster of Ardmore; and one sister
Mary Ellen Dallas of Pawnee.

She was a proud grandmother of nine grandsons,Marvin Caudle,
Michael Caudle, Terry Caudle, John Caudle, Gus Caudle, Chris
Caudle, Mark Caudle, Joe Caudle, and Casey Caudle; and seven
grandaughters, Linda Shelton, Frankie Martire, Tanya Daniels, Anna
Caudle, Regina Caudle, Sherry Kendrick, and Tina Johnson.
Myrtle was also proud of her great grandchildren - 10 boys;
Shawn and Chris Shelton, Richie Martire, Braydon Daniels, Joshua
Caudle, Aaron and Colin Caudle, Shawn Caudle, Kevin Caudle and Cole
Caudle; 17 girls; Erica Caudle, Shannon Caudle, Hillary Fredericks,
LaTisha and LaKrista Daniels, Amanda and Ashley Caudle, Erica Strong,
Mandi Caudle, Susie Caudle, Makayla Caudle, Tara and Jay Lynn Caudle,
Emily and Kaelie Caudle, and Tayler and BaLee Johnson.

Also left to mourn her are scores of neices, nephews, grand and great
grand neices and nephews and many cousins and friends.

Myrtle had a full life and saw many changes in the world. She
lived through World Wars I and II, the Cold War, the Korean War
and the Vietnam Conflict. She survived the Great Depression and
even the trip to California during the Dust Bowl Days. Jet airplanes
came about during her time, and she watched the newly invented
television as the first man walked on the moon. She lived through
hard times and good times with never a complaint. She was a retired
Licensed Practical Nurse, having served in that capacity for many years
at both the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital and the Ardmore Memorial
Hospital. She survived many sicknesses. In 1938 doctors in California
gave her three months to live, but she wouldn't accept that and she lived.
In 1953 a doctor in Ralston, Oklahoma pronounced her dead, but she wouldn't
accept that either. She fought off one bout with cancer, but she could not
fight off the next one. She lived a long life to share her love with her
large immediate and extended family.

We're all going to miss you Myrtle, Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt Myrtle, and
cousin Myrt. Now, may you finally rest in peace.
