Noah Stapleton
1904–2002

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 10, at
11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home for Noah
Stapleton, 98, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 6 at Highland
Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Stapleton was born Aug. 28, 1904 in Johnson County,
son of the late Sandy and Hattie Brown Stapleton.

Surviving are his wife, Emma Adams Stapleton; two sons,
James Earl and William David Stapleton, both of Flat Gap;
four daughters, Betty Thompson of Sitka, Hattie Mae Auxier
of Paintsville, Mary Perciful and Judy O’Bryan both of Flat
Gap; one brother, Rex Stapleton of Flat Gap; one sister, Pearl
Hines of Monticello, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren; several great-
grandchildren.

The service was officiated by Jerry Scott, with burial following
in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
