Mable Lee Teach
1924-2002
Mable Lee Teach, 78, of Lancaster, Ohio, and
formerly of Springfield, died peacefully on August
5, 2002 in her home. She was born February 27, 1924
in Flat Gap, Kentucky, the daughter of Milliard and
Martha (McKenzie) Salyer. Mable was employed at Robbins
and Myers prior to becoming a wife and homemaker. She
took pleasure in gardening, nature and homemaking. She
was especially proud of her “backyard sanctuary” where
she used her talents to nurture many varieties of flowers,
plants and shrubs.
Mable is survived by her sisters, Geneva Stambaugh, Pauline
(Bud) Klontz, Springfield, Ohio, Irene (James Earl) Stapleton,
Anna Jewel Blair, Volga, Kentucky; brother, Raymond (Janet)
Salyer, Springfield, Ohio; special niece and caregiver,
Delores McEnaney and numerous nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ellis Teach
in 2000.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 8 in the Conroy
Funeral Home with Rev. Karl Hartmann officiating. Burial was
in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio.
