Osie Stapleton

Osie Stapleton,72, died Tuesday, January 12, in J. J.
Jordan Geriatric Center, Louisa.

Mrs. Stapleton was born December 28, 1909, in Johnson County,
the daughter of Tom and Ella Castle. She was a resident of
Sitka.

Her husband, Dan Stapleton, whom she married Abt. 1927
in Johnson Co. preceded her in death, January 1968.

Survivors are three sons, Henry Stapleton, of Flat Gap, and
Robert and Billy Stapleton of Sitka; five daughters, Flora Bell
Rowland, Fuget, Pearl McKenzie, Dekalb,Ill., Sue and Margie
Stapleton, Sitka, and Sarah Taylor, Mt. Gilead, Ohio; 16
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 16, in Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Bruce Daniels officiating.

Burial was in the family cemetery at Volga with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
