LONDON F. STAPLETON

Funeral services were conducted at the home 10:00 a. m.
Wednesday for London F. Stapleton, 81, of River, life-long
resident of Johnson County, who died at Sharon Heights
Hospital, Jenkins, Ky., at 6:00 a. m. June 23 following
an illness of one year.

Born July 5, 1870, he was the son of Isaac and Lavina Helton
Stapleton. He was married June 22, 1895 in Johnson Co.to
Elizabeth Preston who survives him.

Other survivors include five sons, Henry Preston Stapleton,
Jenkins, Ky., Arthur Stapleton, Ravenna, Ky., Clyde L.
Stapleton, Jenkins, Ky., James F. Stapleton, Williamson,
W.VA., and Charles Stapleton, River, Ky., one daughter,
Mrs. Edna Howard, Kansas City, MO., and eight grandchildren
and two great grandchildren.

Rev. C. J. Sparks officiated at the funeral. Burial was
in the family cemetery at River, Ky., under the direction
of the Preston Funeral Home.
