MABEL STAPLETON

                                                                                                                                                               Mrs. Mabel Christine Stapleton, 50, of 2229 Charles
St., died at 3:15 p.m. Saturday in Mercy Hospital
shortly after being admitted.
Born March 20, 1909, in Frankfort,Ky., she was the
daughter of J. L. and Elizabeth Burchett Wright. Mrs.
Stapleton was an employee of Williams Mfg. Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband G. W.
Stapleton, her father and a brother.
Surviving are her mother, who resides at 2229
Charles St.; a daughter, Mrs. Calvin Terry of
Georgetown; four sisters, Mrs. Harvey McDowell of
Catlettsburg,Ky., Mrs. Earl Stapleton of Minford,Oh
Mrs. G. E. Evans of Marion,Ohio, and Mrs. Holbart
Schlagel of Huntington,W. Va., and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday
at Portsmouth Baptist Church, where she was a member,
with Rev. Quentin King officiating. Burial is to be
in Grayson,Ky. Memorial Cemetery under the direction
of Brock Funeral Home. Friends may call at the residence.
