James A. Stapleton, (grandson of Hansford "Hank" Stapleton)
James A. Stapleton, 23, died Wednesday, October 13, 1976,
in Prestonsburg,Ky. He was born February 25, 1953 in
Johnson County. He was a resident of Tutor Key, was employed
as an equipment operator for Diamond Coal Company of Ivel, KY.
and was a member of the Paintsville Lodge No. 381 F. & A.M.
Surviving are his parents, Curtis and Hazel Williams Stapleton;
his wife Paula Spradin Stapleton. (He died as a results of mining
