Roy E. Daniel
Roy E. Daniel age 52, died May 15, 1960, in a local hospital
near Lowmansville at 6:30 a.m. Friday of injuries recieved in an
automobile accident near his home on May 15. Mr. Daniel had attended
church services at Old Hood near Winfred and was returning home with
Mrs. Daniel and his brother, Elliott Daniel, who was driving the car.
It is reported the car was sideswiped by another auto as the Daniel
vehicle turned into the driveway of the victems home. Mrs. Daniel and
Elliott Daniel were treated for injuries. Mr. Daniel was born June 15, 1807
at Winfred the son of J. F. and Mary Alice Chandler Daniel. He had been a
resident of Lowmansville for 23 years. He was a member of the United
Baptist Church and the Chandlersville Masonic Lodge 858. Besides being
survived by his wife, the former Nancy Wheeler, whom he married June 10,
1933 at Winfred, he is survived brothers Elliott and Bud Daniel of Lowmansville.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 29, at the Hood Fork
United Baptist Church. Graveside rites were held by the Masonic Lodge
858 with burial in the Hoods Fork Church Cemetery.
