WISE,Esquire, Governor of the Commomwealth of Virginia, TO all to whom these presents shall come-Greeting: Know ye that in conformity with a survey made on the fourth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and fifty two by virtue of land office Treasury warrant, no. 20.043 There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto LEWIS STAPLETON a certain tract or parcel of land containing, Twelve Acres lying and in the county on the East fork of Blackwater and bounded as follows, viz; Beginning at a white oak in a line of survey WILLIAM ROBERTS N 15 W(degrees) 60 poles with his line to a white oak in a __? point;N 65 E(degrees)68 poles to two dogwoods and a bunch hickory sprouts in a hollow; S 32 1/2 E(degrees) 18 poles to a stake in a line of the said STAPLETONS land; S 50 W(degrees) 50 poles to a large white oak; S 15 W(degrees)50 poles to the beginning with its appurtenances. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with its appurtenances to the said LEWIS STAPLETON and his heirs forever. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said HENRY A.
