By the time of the 1851 census, the Hills had left Moscow Cottage and it was occupied by the family of James Houghton, a gardener, who came from Halewood, Lancashire. As one of the Hills was my great grandfather, I have attempted to trace the origins of the family and to find out what became of each member. The research is by no means complete and I would appreciate any comments, amendments or further information. I can be contacted at 7uppdi4@omne.uk.net but please omit the 7 at the start of the address.
