Jemima Hibbert (1823-1883).

Baptised at Mellor, 18th May 1823.

Working as a reeler in 1841.  Staying with aunt & uncle Thomas & Hannah Bennett in Shoreditch, London in 1851.  Thereafter lived in New Mills with brother John, keeping house while he was an innkeeper at the Mason's Arms, High Street.

Died June quarter 1883.

Baptised at Mellor, 29th January 1826.

No further record found.  May have died in infancy as the name was reused.

 

Thomas Hibbert (1828-).

Baptised at Mellor, 18th May 1828.  Joiner and carpenter.

Married Jane Walker of Disley, who was a tea and coffee dealer in 1861.

Innkeeper on High Street, New Mills.  Unmarried.  Lived with his sister Jemima.

Living on his own means 1891/1901 censuses.

Died:  Oldham, 1889, aged 54.

Died in 1904, aged 66.
