Ollie Beckman of Jordan Was married in Borough Yesterday to Miss Schumann

            ---------------------

A Jordan young man, Ollie Beckman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Beckman, won as his bride yesterday, a charming Belle Plaine young woman, Miss Susan Schumann, telephone operator and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Schuman of that community.  The happy couple were married in a ceremony at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic church at half after nine in the morning, Father Godfrey pastor.

It was a brilliant and colorful wedding, the handsome costumes of the ladies in the wedding entourage and the staid suits of the men, with beauteous flowers and all, lending a chic air to an event that interested a wide circle of relatives and friends of the high contracting parties.  A wedding reception was held at the Schuman home.

The fair bride had two attendants, her sister, Miss Schuman, as bridesmaid and the groom's sister, Mrs. Thadey Mertens of Jordan as matron of honor.  The groom's best man was his brother, Paul Beckman of Jordan.  The newlyweds will make their home in Jordan, in the Linn residence on Broadway.  The groom is employed in the New Sunder's Store at Scott County's Hub.
