STANLEY — Harold Lee "Tommy" Rector, 68, 125 Devine St., died July 17, 2001, at his residence.

He was a native of Gaston County, stepson of the late Lee and Gypsie Rector Montgomery, Navy veteran of Korean War, retired welder from Gaston County Dye Machine Co. and Duke Power Co. where he was known by colleagues as "old man," member of West Cramerton Baptist Church, outreach director.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, D’Lorah Rector "Lori" Ferguson and husband Alfred, Gastonia, Lisa R. Ponder, Cherryville; four grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Sunday, West Cramerton Baptist Church, Rev. Larry Wilson.
