Ruth Rector Hance

Died: 12-28-2002 Ruth Rector Hance, age 92, of Newport, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2002 at the Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Rector and W.B. Hance; daughters, Katherine Arrowood, Velma Woods, Alma Mannis, Sarah June Fine, Martha Snyder, and Mary Wiley; son, George Rector, Jr.; brothers, George, Walter, Chris, Herman, Donald, Judge Holt, and James Hance; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Rector.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Jim Coggins, of Newport; son and daughter-in-law, James and Jo Ann Rector, of Knoxville; son, Jack Rector, of Newport; sons and daughters-in-law: Carlon and Marie Rector, of Wilmington, DL; Dallas and Joan Rector, of Baneberry; Donald and Lucille Rector, of Newport; Paul and Susan Hance, of Bessemer City, NC; son-in-law, Hubert Fine, of Newport; 28 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2002 at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rich Lloyd and Rev. Ron Ball officiating.

Interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
