Oswald Klyne Rector, of Marshall, age 24, was crushed to death in an automobile collision in Asheville about midnight of Thursday of last week. Klyne and Hubert Edwards and Ralph Redmon were driving down Church Street in Asheville when their car collided with a car driven by Mr. A.H. Harris, of Sylva. Both cars turned over. All except Klyne escaped with minor injuries. He was pinned under the car, which crushed him about the breast puncturing both lungs, which caused his death shortly after reaching the Aston Park hospital in Asheville.
Funeral services were from the Methodist church in Marshall at 2:00 o’clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Ralph Shumaker, assisted by Rev. J. T. M. Knox. Interment was at the Pritchard cemetery. The funeral was one of the most largely attended ever held in Marshall, friends and relatives being here from Asheville, Weaverville, ?,?, Flag Pond, Tenn., and various other points.
