Brevard - Mary Anne Rector, 62, of Brevard, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at Pardee Hospital from complications from pneumonia. She had been in declining health for the past several years.

She was a native of Buncombe County and had resided in Brevard since 1960. She was a daughter of the late Oscar and Emma Byrd Bolton. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas John Rector. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Pisgah Forest.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, John M. Rector of Brevard; one daughter, Leigh Anne McJunkin of Brevard; one son, Michael John Rector of Brevard; two sisters, Virginia Kastiner of Asheville and Addie Lewis of Fletcher; one brother, Paul Bolton of Asheville; three grandchildren, Paul Bolton of Asheville, James McJunkin and Daniel McJunkin; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Brata officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
