Mrs. E. L. Rector, of Andrews, N.C., died Thursday afternoon, Feb. 2, 1928, the cause of death being cancer. Mrs. Rector and her husband were formerly of Madison County, having lived here a number of years. She was a daughter of Jerry Cole, and was reared near Juniper, N.C. She was of a very prominent family. She leaves a husband and five sons, a sister, and a host of friends.

Mrs. Rector was a member of the M. E. Church, South, and was a consistent Christian. Her husband said she bore her sickness with a great patience and died happy. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, always cheerful and gentle with everyone.
