Glennie Rector, daughter of Pierce Rector, died at her home near Marshall Wednesday morning of complications following an attack of influenza. Glennie had been ill for some time but appeared to be improving up to a few days ago when a turn for the worst came and she gradually grew weaker until Wednesday morning when her spirit took it’s flight. Glennie was a member of the Marshall Baptist Church and was a teacher in the public school last year and proved herself an able instructor as well as a winner of friends, of whom she had a host. Surviving are a father and five brothers, Hillard, Oakley, Cleophas, Willard and Troy. Cleophas and Troy are now with the American Expeditionary Forces in France. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F.C. Gleason and the remains were laid to rest at the Rector Chapel Cemetery Thursday morning.
