On last sabbath evening at six o’clock Mrs. G.G. Rector of Hendersonville, quietly departed this life. Her body was brought to Marshall on Monday afternoon and just as the golden sun was sinking in the west she was layed to rest beside her husband in the family cemetery near her old home to await the last trumpet call.
Mrs. Rector had been suffering for several years with an incurable disease but she bore her suffering with great patience and hope, never complaining but always cheerful. She was loved by all who knew her and her life was a blessing to all with whom she came in contact.
Mrs. Rector lived a live of service and love for those around her and she will be greatly missed by her many friends. She had been a member of the Presbyterian Church for many years and remained a faithful christian until the end.
Mrs. Rector leaves behind her six children and a host of friends and loved ones to mourn her loss.
