Charles, the seven-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lattie Davis, of near Marshall, was instantly killed Thursday evening about 6:45, when a large Packard sedan ran over the child crushing it so that it died before medical attention could be reached. The accident occurred on Highway No. 20 near the Ivy bridge. It was said the child was on the side of the road and was not seen by the driver of the care. The dog with the child started across the road and the child started across the road after the dog just ahead of the car.
