HENDERSONVILLE - Billie Mae Rector, 82, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at the Brian Center after a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late William E. Rector and Winona Cox Rector. She was a resident of Henderson County for the past 40 years and a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Laughridge of Hendersonville; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles H. Rector of Asheville; three nieces, Karen Rector of West Palm Beach, Fla., Sharon Rector and Kristina Rector, both of Asheville; one nephew, Charles William Rector of Asheville; and one great-niece, Nichole McKinney of Asheville. The graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Oakdale Cemetery with the Rev. Zollie F. Ward officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence following the services. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
