This indenture made this 9th day of October, 1916 by and between HIRAM RECTOR and his wife SIDIE RECTOR parties of the first part and O.C. RECTOR and J.P. RECTOR parties of the second part, witnesseth: that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said parties of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given, granted, bargained, sold, and conveyed and coaffirmed, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell, convey and coaffirm unto the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns forever, a certain piece, parcel or lot of land situated, lying and being in No. 1 Township Madison County, NC No. 1 Township. and bounded and more particularly described as follows: First tract adjoining the lands of J.P. RECTOR and JOHN P. RECTOR being the same tract of land conveyed to HIRAM RECTOR from R.F. RECTOR by deed dated the 26th day of July 1891 and duly recorded in Book no. 19 on Page 46 in the office of the Redister of Deeds for Madison County to which book and page reference is hereby made for a complete assertion of the calls and boundary lines of said land containing 11 acres and 8 roads more or less. Second tract adjoining lands of JOHN E. RECTOR and J..P. RECTOR and being the same tract of land conveyed to HIRAM RECTOR from J.E. RECTOR and wife M.A. RECTOR by deed dated the 27th day of April, 1893 and duly recorded in Deed Book no. 19 Page 468 in the office of the Register of Deeds for Madison County to which book and page reference is hereby made for a complete description of the calls and boundary lines of said tract of land containing 3 acres and 60 poles more or less. To have and to hold the above described land and premises with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, to the only use and behoof of them and their said heirs and assigns forever. And that said parties of the first part do hereby covenant to and with the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns thereunto said parties of the first part are lawfully seized in fee simple of said land and premises and have full right and power to convey the same to the said parties of the second part in fee simple and that said land and premises are free from any and all incumbances, and that they will and their heirs, executors, and administrators shall forever warrant and defend the said land and premises, with the appurtenances, unto the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereuno set their hands and seals this the day and year first above written.
