Wilkes County Will and Abstracts:

443. JOSHUA LOW. 30 September 1841, November 1841. Youngest boy James Martin Low. My other two boys Caleb and Joshua. EXEC. son Caleb, my wife Lucy. WIT. Elizabeth Hubbard. Book 4, page 267.

In the name of God Amen, This 30th day of September 1841, being in perfect mind and memory. I desire to commit to writing something as my last Will and Testament-Item first, I desire to commit my soul in the care of almighty God-and to my worldly affairs is as follows: Item the second, as to my land I will to my youngest by James Martin Low to have the dwelling house with 25 acres of land around said house-Item the third, as to the rest of my lands, I leave to my other two boys Caleb and Joshua between them after their mothers death if they should be the longest livers, as I allow their mother, my wife, to have her lifetime on said lands I posess for her support and the raising of her family her lifetime. Item the fourth, as to the property I posess it's my will and wish for it to be kept together for the support of the family till the youngest child comes of age then what there is to be equally divided amongst the children, their mother having childs part with them-also I leave my son Caleb and my wife Lucy Low as Executors of this my last Will and Testament, the day and date above written.
The cross mark to be seen there in is the signett of the said Joshua Low, whose Will and Testament the above is Test. Elizabeth Hubbard, J-

The execution of the within Will was duly proven in open Court by the oath of Elizabeth Hubbard, the subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be recorded-and Caleb Low the Executor there in named was duly sworn.
