I started working on my family history in the summer of 1985 and have worked on it on and off since then. My dad's roots are from West Virginia, where he was born, and Virginia and Kentucky for the most part. His ancestor's surnames include FALIN, COTTON, SANSOM, WOODRUM, BRADFORD, CAMPBELL, ABBOTT, ESTEP, DAMRON, BELLEW, MANN, and many more. Mom's ancestors traveled from New England through New York and Pennsylvania to northeastern Ohio with some more recent immigrant ancestors from Finland, Switzerland and the Isle of Man. Her ancestor's surnames include POHTO, TRASKLEN, BRAINARD, LOHISER, MAIN, DODGE, QUIRK, QUAYLE, JACOBUS, and others.

This is the first major update of my web page in about four years. Everything that was here before is still here, but a few of the files have been moved around a bit. There is also some new stuff. To navigate around this site, click on the tabs at the top of this page or on the hyperlinks at the bottom of the pages. Also, a listing of some of the books in my personal library can be found here.
